Global State of HIV Prevention

The past 5 months have brought an unprecedented assault on science and research and the systematic dismantling of institutions that have been at the forefront of advancing global health programs. No area of science and health is unscathed, but the impact on HIV/AIDS has been particularly acute, with terminations of pioneering research and implementation programs in the US and around the world.
As HIV/AIDS research has advanced over the past decade, the epidemic has receded in the public’s attention. Now, with unprecedented budget cuts and project terminations that will set the HIV/AIDS response back years, if not decades, it is more critical than ever to help the public understand what has been achieved and what is at risk by decades of wise investments by the NIH and other federal funders.
Join us on September 16 as scientists, researchers and advocates from around the world share their work and answer questions from viewers.
